Sportradar has announced the opening of its inaugural office in Mumbai and has appointed Prasun Bhadani as its new General Manager – who will manage the company’s operations in India.

Bhadani has been chosen because of his history in sports marketing， where he has previously served as part of the managing team of some famous Indian Premier League (IPL) players. In his new role， he’ll work directly with Oscar Brodkin， Sportradar's Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific region (APAC).

Brodkin said of the opening and Bhadani’s new role: “India is a key market and will contribute significantly to our overall growth in the Asia Pacific region. Prasun has the experience and ability to help us achieve our business objectives in India and at the same time prioritise the delivery of quality service and value to our partners.”

The news comes on the same day that Sportradar also revealed that Rajani Ramanathan and William Kurtz have been nominated to the Board of Directors， which is expected to be confirmed at the general meeting in Switzerland following Charles Robel’s exit.
